Mendery

Mend it until it shines.

How to play

  • Worn, broken objects come into your little 1950s repair shop: radios, teapots, kettles, clocks, cameras and lamps, covered in dust, grime, rust, tape and faded paint.
  • Tap a patch of damage on the object. That patch, and every patch of the same kind touching it, is cleaned in one stroke of the right tool: the duster for dust, the sponge for grime, the wire brush for rust.
  • Each tool has a few strokes. Layers lie on top of each other, so clearing what is on top first can join the patches under it: the order matters.
  • When every layer is off, rub the object until it shines. Then it turns on the turntable, before and after, and goes into your shop window, where its customer buys it.
  • Undo and Restart are always free. The fewest strokes earn three stars.

  • A living shop: customers at the window, a bicycle passing, the shop cat on the sill, a different corner of the shop every chapter.
  • Free, no sign-up, works offline and installs as an app.
